Ingredients
Shawarma Steak
- 250g of Topside Steak
- 1/4 tsp of ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp of ground coriander
- 1/4 tsp of ground paprika
- 1 pinch of ground turmeric
- 1/4 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 wraps
- 200gms cheddar mozzarella mixed cheese, grated
Roasted Onions & Bell Peppers
- 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 green bell peppers, sliced
- 1/2 yellow bell peppers, sliced
- 1/2 onion, sliced
Grilled Aubergines
- 2 eggplants
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tub of cherry tomatoes
Tahini Yogurt Sauce
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 tsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup pomegranate
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley

Directions
- Plug probe into unit.
- Insert grill plate into unit and close lid.
- Select GRILL. The unit will default to HI.
- Select PRESET.
- Select BEEF, use the arrows to the left of the display to set to MEDIUM. Select START to begin preheating.
- While unit is preheating, rub the steak with the marinades. Rub with ground cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon and garlic & onion powder, salt & pepper and olive oil.
- Insert probe horizontally into the centre of the steak. When the unit beeps to signify it has preheated, place the steak on the grill plate.
- Place the sliced bell peppers an onions at the side of the plate.
- Close the lid over the cord.
- When the unit beeps to signal that it has reached the desired doneness, remove probe from the steak and place the steak on a board to rest.
- Remove the onion & bell peppers into a bowl.
- Slice the aubergines into 1/2 inch thickness.
- Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
- Place the aubergines and cherry tomatoes onto the grill.
- Slice the steak, place 4 slices onto each wrap, top with some grilled bell peppers, drizzle some tahini yogurt sauce over and top with 1/4 cup of grated cheese.
- Roll each of the wraps and place it over the grill.
- Once all the four wraps have been rolled, place it on the grill and toast it on the grill by selecting GRILL, setting temperature to HI and set the time to 2 mins.
- Serve Shawarma with grilled cherry tomatoes and aubergines drizzled with tahini yogurt sauce and pomegranates and chopped parsley.
